Join us for an open mic style evening of unfiltered and unpolished stories told on stage about the wild, raw, tender, hilarious, heartbreaking and often absurd ride that is mothering and being mothered. You don't have to be a mother to attend or share--having a mother is enough!

Bring your journals, group chats, voice memos, poems, essays, first drafts and works in progress. We’ll laugh, cry, scream, breathe, howl — together! All stories are welcome in this space for those who identify as women and non binary. You can just come to listen, too.

Please consider donating to help us cover operating costs at ArtsWest, who are generously hosting us. Any remaining funds will be donated to Westside Baby.

Leesha Mony, a Seattle-based writer, and Somatic Psychotherapist, delves into themes encompassing motherhood, maternal mental health, the quest for belonging, and collective healing. She holds the belief that giving voice to our experiences through creative expression and storytelling profoundly leads us to feel less alone and more connected to one another and to the deeper parts of ourselves. Leesha is a birth storytelling guide and has a myriad of different offerings, including 1:1 support, group facilitation, and embodied writing workshops.
